Hilltop Modern Ranch

This hilltop brick ranch home already had been upgraded beautifully by the owners, but after living there for a short while with a young family, they realized they wanted more main-level space.

The project scope included a new addition for an adult hangout space away from the main living areas, a quiet home office, new entry addition to the front, an indoor golf simulator space, and enhanced indoor-outdoor space with a large covered patio area. Placing the addition on the east side of the property allowed for the ideal afternoon sun exposure, while deep overhangs protect the home from too much solar gain.

This new addition also opens up to the tranquil aspen grove on the west side of their property.

Energy Features: Low-E windows and doors, super insulated, mini-split heating/cooling, Boral siding made from fly ash, LED lighting

We wanted an addition for a home office and den connected to the living and entry hall. We also wanted a larger, more formal entry so guests would not be confused about the main entrance, an entryway that really defined the nature of the home with a mid-century modern influenced design.
