Chicago is for architecture lovers!

No doubt about it, Chicago is a candy shop for architecture lovers. And that we are. Cadence Design got away for a few days of apartment hunting with our kid and crisscrossed Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, and the surrounding areas while also enjoying the fantastic historic and modern architecture, shops, and finds along the way. Block after block features outstanding homes and buildings with all sorts of impressive embellishments. They don't make homes like this anywhere anymore! Go visit.

Some of you may also know that we are big fans of Blu Dot furniture, and their shop in Lincoln Park has a vast and fantastic showroom! Not sure what we are going to purchase next, but if you haven't checked them out before, do so now! Plus, we also came home with some awesome art - an original 70's color etching from Lu Dickens, a local artist from the 70s. Another great shop that we regularly visit is Top Drawer, with a location in Lincoln Park & Wicker Park with the great line "Always be Faithful to Quality!" Here are some shots from this recent trip.
